This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the YMCA youth work team within a growing situation across Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage. We operate a number of town centre Youth & Community centres called Space from which we run a youth work programme and offer a range of opportunities for young people.

We are seeking passionate and committed Youth Workers to join the Youth Worker bank which will enable us to meet our growing and changing situation. We are looking for people who can step into situations, lead youth work sessions and engage positively with young people through our Space centres and other youth work activities.

 You will need to be

• Qualified in Youth Work
• Able to establish and develop relationships with young people aged 11-19 years as well as with the local schools, community & partner agencies.
• Able to lead, support, and develop youth work programmes, whilst working with volunteers and young people in organising activities.
• Keen to take initiative, adaptable and ready to work with young people of all backgrounds without judging them
• Available during afternoons and evenings, and occasional weekend work.
