Welcome to Waterside
Waterside Children’s Centre works within the Panshanger and Haldens areas of Welwyn Garden City, to support families with children under 5 years old.
Our centre provides a range of universal, as well as targeted, services for the families in our catchment area – which include weekly Stay and Play, Baby Rhyme Time, and Story Sacks groups, as well as more specific workshops and parenting courses like Baby Massage, Dealing with Tantrums and Understanding Behaviour workshops, First Aid courses and Breastfeeding Support groups. We have also taken the lead in our area with a Safety Equipment Scheme, offering low cost home safety equipment to families on Income Support.
We aim to offer a range of affordable, fun and accessible services to everyone in our area – but another valuable area of our work is in Outreach Support, where we can offer a more tailored level of support to families that need it, on a more personal one-2-one basis.
Our team includes our Manager Lucy DeVito; our Outreach Worker Clare Lawrence; and our Administrator Jo Bigsby. Together, we hope we can improve the daily lives for children and families in the Waterside area.
