Welcome to Great Wood

Great Wood Children’s Centre supports families with young children in the villages of Cuffley, Goffs Oak, Essendon,  Brookmans Park, Little Heath, Newgate Street and Northaw.

Our Vision is for a world where everyone is valued and achieves their potential. To help us achieve this, we strive to meet the needs of our communities, creating opportunities for all to develop in body, mind & spirit. The centre works with all local families with young children in any way it can, particularly helping those who most need support. 

We provide a range of affordable, quality, accessible services for all children and their families across Great Wood Children’s Centre area.  We provide enjoyable activities for children and their families to access a range of development, learning and training opportunities to help them realise their potential.  Sessions include courses and workshops for parents and carers on topics such as Sibling Rivalry and Toddler Tantrums.   

We pride ourselves in our work with other agencies such as the Police, Health Service, Schools, other local Children’s Centres, Extended Schools and the Speech and Language Therapy Service.
