What we do

Sometimes our work at the YMCA is as simple as taking the time to listen to someone Our mission is "to meet the needs of our communities, creating opportunities for everyone to develop in body, mind and spirit".

At the YMCA we do this through every aspect of our work. Specifically we provide a range of:

We work with people from a variety of backgrounds across the community

  • affordable supported housing for the most vulnerable across central Hertfordshire to help us move people towards independent living.     
  • affordable, quality, accessible services for children, young people and families across central Hertfordshire through our Day Nurseries and Children's Centres.
  • positive activities for young people and access to a range of development, learning and training opportunities to help them realise their potential through our community and youth work programmes.
