YMCA Space Hatfield

YMCA Space Hatfield opened in October 2010 – the second YMCA Space Youth & Community Centre in Welwyn Hatfield. This exciting new community provision is open to everyone, simply as a place to sit and rest after your shopping, make and meet friends, or to get involved in shaping the programme!

When you come to space you will find a café area with plenty of comfy seating and free refreshments, there’s an activity room, equipped with a projector, games consoles and laptops which can access the internet from whatever comfy sofa you decide to sit yourself on. We also have an information zone where you can find out about other local events and services and keep up to date about what’s on at Space.

This is the perfect time to drop in to YMCA Space – we are open five mornings a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am - 1.00pm and Wednesday, 9.20am - 2.30pm.

Our first day of opening welcomed over 100 people of all ages – what a wonderful atmosphere – and in the words of one of our young visitors “this is paradise!’ Come and see for yourself!
