If you have large items of furniture in saleable condition then why not use these to support the work of the YMCA?
We need all types of household furniture including:
- dining / kitchen tables & chairs
- coffee tables
- desks & office chairs
- bookcases & shelving units
- double beds
- single beds & bunk beds
- bedside cabinets
- chests of drawers
- Sofas & easy chairs
All beds, sofas and upholstered furniture must be in good clean condition and conform to current fire safety legislation which we will check with you when we arrange a collection.
We also need electrical items that are in good clean working order such as:
- electric cookers
- fridge freezers
- washing machines
- tumble driers
- vacuum cleaners
We also accept household goods such as bedding, curtains, towels and carpets in good clean condition.
Donors may deliver items direct to our shops during opening hours or if you have several items to donate and require a collection please call us on 07904 955141 or email email@example.com. We are able to collect donations from Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City and the surrounding nearby towns and villages. We collect on week days only between 9am and 5pm. It may be possible occasionally to arrange collection outside of these hours, but this would involve a charge.
Unfortunately, we sometimes have to refuse offers of donations. Our collection driver is allowed to refuse to take items for which collection has been arranged because it is not saleable within one of our stores.
