Works Wonders

Works Wonders is a four week programme of activities run by the YMCA which aims to give peope the skills and confidence to return to work. It offers help in CV Writing, searching for jobs, completing application forms and interview techniques.

Microsoft Word

A full-featured word processing program for Windows and the Macintosh from Microsoft. Included in the Microsoft application suite, it is a sophisticated program with rudimentary desktop publishing capabilities that has become the most widely used word processing application on the market. Microsoft Word is often used in businesses, schools and universities.

Microsoft Publisher

Microsoft Publisher is a desktop publishing program. It offers features that enable a user to design various publications, such as newsletters and brochures, with relative ease. It is an entry-level application, differing from Microsoft Word in that the emphasis is placed on page layout and design rather than text composition and proofing.

Microsoft PowerPoint

PowerPoint is used by business people, educators, students, and trainers. PowerPoint is presentation software from Microsoft. Although typically used to display "slides" during face-to-face meetings and presentations, it is also used on the web and with distance education technologies.

Microsoft Excel

Excel is an electronic spreadsheet program whose options for manipulating numbers have made it the most popular spreadsheet program in the world. Its widespread use makes it easy to exchange files with almost anyone, or to display information in printed form. Because it is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, it can easily exchange data with that suite's database, word processing and presentation program.
