Santa Fun Run

The 2010 DoitforCharity.com Santa Run will take place in Greenwich Park in London on Sunday 5th December. Around 1000 people are expected to take part raising funds for many different charities an now this is your chance to join them and raise funds for the YMCA.

No previous experience is required and with a bit of training the 5km distance should easily be within your capabilities. The spirit of the event is ‘taking part’ not ‘winning’ so you can run jog or walk – you decide!

All runners will be provided with a free Santa Suit and a goody bag.

We are asking our Santa runners to pledge to raise £100 to go towards our vital work with vulnerable young people, and we will be on hand to give you plenty of fundraising support and advice. 50% of your sponsorship money will go to YMCA England and 50% to YMCA Central Herts. (Please make sure you fill in YMCA Central Herts in the relevant box on page 2 of the online registration.)

To reserve a place, all you need to do is to register online at and follow the instructions. You will be asked to pay a registration fee of £20 in order to secure their place. This will count towards your fundraising target of £100.

This promises to be a lively, fun event and a great way to start off the festive season by helping to raise funds to help disadvantaged young people get the opportunities they deserve.
